Part 2 float valves (also known as ballcocks, inlet valves, fill valves or ball valves) are quieter than the part 1 version and better suited in applications that need to prevent back flow. They are are used in WC toilet cisterns, loft / attic cold water tanks and central heating feed / expansion header tanks.
